Bharat Mata Mandir in Haridwar is dedicated to the immortal personalities who contributed to the building of India and India. This temple of Bharat Mata is a unique temple in itself. Almost all the temples are dedicated to the favored deities but this particular Bharat Mata Temple is a tribute to the great personalities born in the land of India. It is also known as India Temple.
Bharat Mata Mandir Haridwar
On coming to the temple, one can see the huge map of the country of India. It is here that Bharat Mata has been established as a goddess. The temple was inaugurated in 1983 by the then Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi.
On entering the temple, a lift is available which takes the visitors to the highest floor of the temple i.e. 8th floor. To use this lift, a ticket of 2 rupees is available here. This is a great facility for older people. If you wish, you can go to different levels of the temple by stairs without using the lift.
Every single floor in this temple is dedicated to various deities, great men, leading brave women, freedom fighters and saints of the country of India.
Bharat Mata Mandir 8th Floor
In Bharat Mata Mandir, the lift drops the visitors to the 8th floor. A meditating idol of Lord Shiva is installed on this floor. From this floor of the temple, a panoramic view of the vast form of river Ganga flowing through Haridwar can be seen. There is no lift available to go down from here. From here you can stop at the floor and go down.
Bharat Mata Mandir 7th Floor
When you reach the seventh floor by the stairs from the 8th floor, you see that here the replicas of different forms of Lord Vishnu i.e. ten incarnations are established.
Bharat Mata Mandir 6th Floor
On the 6th floor of this temple, there are idols dedicated to various forms of Goddess Shakti, very important in Hinduism. The idols of Goddess Durga, Goddess Parvati, Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Lakshmi etc. are installed on this floor.
Bharat Mata Mandir 5th Floor
The fifth floor of the temple has paintings from all popular Indian religions and mythology. Lord Krishna's theft of butter and his mother Yashoda's scolding him is very well depicted here.
Bharat Mata Mandir 4th Floor
The fourth floor of the temple is called Sant Mandir. On this floor, the idols of the country's great saints Kabir, Gautam Buddha, Tulsidas and other prominent saints are installed here.
Bharat Mata Mandir 3rd Floor
The third floor of the temple is called Matri Mandir. This part of Bharat Mata Mandir is dedicated to the great women of the country. Mirabai, Sati Savitri, Ahilya Bai, Manushi Gargi and other idols are installed here on this floor.
Bharat Mata Mandir 2nth Floor
The second floor of the temple is called Shur Mandir. This part of the temple is dedicated to the freedom fighters of the country. Statues of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Madan Mohan Malviya and other fighters are installed on this floor.

The goddess form of Bharat Mata has been depicted on the first floor of the temple.
Timings of Temple
The temple remains open for darshan from 5 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 9 pm.

Special events are organized in the temple on the national festivals Independence Day and Republic Day.
How to reach Bharat Mata Mandir Haridwar
If you are traveling by flight then Jolly Grant Airport of Dehradun is the nearest airport. A distance of about 30 km from Dehradun to Hardwar can be covered by taxi or bus by road. It is located about 5 kilometers outside Bharat Mata Temple. One can take local auto to reach here.
If you want to reach Haridwar by train, then Haridwar is a major railway station which is well connected to the rest of the rail network of the country. One can also go by rickshaw or bus to reach the temple.
